This was the day all family members departed and headed to their respective homes.

It was about 10h00 and the thermometer reading showed 45C in the shade. After everyone had packed and departed, Sean and I headed to Patensie. This was a short and easy ride along tar roads. The reason for the short distance was to shorten the ride the following day to enjoy a leisurely ride through Baviaanskloof.

We had booked into the Ripple Hotel. Originally we booked a room with two single beds, however the room was far too small if you include the clumsy riding gear that took up a lot of space. I kept the room and Sean booked a separate room that included an on-suite. I had to use the communal bathroom which was not an issue.
