Avery Louder

Grade: Junior

# Years on Team: 5 years

Award/Achievement Most Proud of: All-conference honor mention my sophomore year and rookie of the year seventh grade year 

Favorite Stroke: Backstroke and IM

Favorite Activity or Hobby: I love shopping and watching the sunset with friends. 

One goal I hope to help the team accomplish this year: I hope to help the team reach their goals this season and become closer as a a team. 

Advice for younger/newer swim team members: My advice would be to push yourself and never give up. At times you might struggle to see progress and not always have the best swims but just trust in yourself and the hard work you put into each practice! 

Favorite Quote: “ It all begins in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it” 

2022 Accomplishments: My 2022 accomplishments include getting all-conference honorable mention, earning a letter, swimming in a sections final relay, and getting selected as a 2023 captain! 

Gabby Odegard

Grade: Senior

Award/Achievement Most Proud of: MVP & State Relay

Favorite Stroke: Backstroke, IM and Freestyle

Favorite Activity or Hobby:  I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and of course, love our pool and cabin days! 

One goal I hope to help the team accomplish this year: I hope to help our team believe in themselves, be positive even if things don't always go the way we hope, encourage each other to work hard and push ourselves, to be kind, supportive and positive with each other and of course, have the most fun season ever! 

Advice for younger/newer swim team members: When things start to get hard don’t give up on yourself , lean on your teammates and coaches for support and keep working for your goals! 

Favorite Quote: “It’s not the failures in our life that define us, it’s the moments when we decide that getting back up is all that matters.” 

2022 Accomplishments: My 2022 accomplishments are achieving personal best times at the Championships meets, finishing 9th place at State finals, MVP, and being one of our team captains!



Kari Pederson

Grade: Junior

# Years on Team: 3

Award/Achievement Most Proud of: All-Conference Honorable Mention, Rookie of the Year, and Longest Handstand Underwater (1:08 minutes) 

Favorite Stroke: Butterfly and Freestyle

Favorite Activity or Hobby: Travelling, hanging out with friends and family, and doing things outside 

One goal I hope to help the team accomplish this year: My main goal for the team this year is to establish friendships that will last forever. I have had the pleasure of being on a team that was that close, and I will forever cherish those memories for making me who I am today. It is my goal that I can help this team attain the closeness and family-like behaviors, through not only the passion for swimming, but also through each others support. 

Advice for younger/newer swim team members: Confidence is key! People want to talk to you and meet you, so put yourself out there. Believe in yourself that you can do whatever you put your mind to.  

Favorite Quote: "The most beautiful things in life are not things. They're people, and places, and memories, and pictures. They're feelings and moments and smiles and laughter." 

2022 Accomplishments: In the 2022 season, I was a Letter Award Winner, All-Conference Honorable Mention, and was selected as a 2023 Captain. 

Lauren Kammann

Favorite Stroke: Breaststroke and Freestyle

Favorite Activity or Hobby: I love to golf and play hockey,

One goal I hope to help the team accomplish this year: I hope to make this year one of the most fun years that I have been apart of. I hope to make it to section finals and maybe even state! 

Advice for younger/newer swim team members: The best advice I can give to the younger team members is to get out of your comfort bubble. Try new things, and be loud! Enjoy the time on the team while you have it.

2022 Accomplishments: My 2022 accomplishments consisted of being on the section team, and making it to section finals last season. 

Olivia Seward

Grade: Senior

Award/Achievement Most Proud of: All-Conference

Favorite Stroke: Butterfly and Freestyle

Favorite Activity or Hobby: I love to read, hang out with my friends, and spend time at my cabin. 

One goal I hope to help the team accomplish this year: I hope to help people come together as a team and be more confident in their races. 

Advice for younger/newer swim team members: The outcome of a race depends on input. you have to be willing to work hard to achieve your goals. That being said, like many of my coaches have told me, you can't control what your competition does, but you can control what you do. So my advice is to work hard and realize that all practices have a purpose! 

Favorite Quote: "The harder you work for something, the greater you'll feel when you achieve it." 

2022 Accomplishments: My 2022 accomplishments were all-conference honorable mention, 2023 captain, varsity letter, and top 8 at sections in three events.
