I am from red sunsets but

I prefer pink skies in the morning

I am from that Nicaraguan summer that divided my life in two;

the past uncertainties and the future possibilities.

I am “be kind” mantras to my children

I am from a small town but

I am always looking to make the biggest difference

I am from never fitting in to marrying my kindred spirit
