Name of Activity/Game: Height Check
Objective : M.1.3.1.1. Compares and sorts objects in terms of their length.
The teacher tells the students about a "long-short" game in which they will stand up for the "camel" and sit down for the "dwarf". This helps them understand concepts physically. The teacher then compares various objects in the classroom for length, using questions to encourage student understanding. The teacher places photos of students in the classroom on the whiteboard and brings a measuring rope. The teacher first brings 2 different students of the appropriate size to the board, and in the next round brings 3 different students, and in the next round brings 4 different students. Students are told to find their photo, stand in front of it, and glue a string cut to its height. This activity focuses on understanding height concepts and tracking height development throughout the school year.
Name of Activity/Game: Is it light or heavy?
Objective :M.1.3.4.1. Compares and sorts objects in terms of their masses.
a) First, two objects are compared. Comparison using expressions such as “heavier”, “lighter”
the results are expressed.
In this classroom activity, the teacher begins by introducing a mysterious box to pique the students' curiosity. Inside the box are various items like keychains, buttons, plastic balls, and toy cars. The teacher engages the students in predicting what could be inside the box. Next, the teacher reveals the items and announces the day's activity, "Light or Heavy?" Each student is given an activity sheet where they predict and draw which item they think is heavier. Using a homemade scale, the teacher demonstrates and tests the students' predictions by weighing pairs of items. Students mark correct predictions with stars on their sheets. The activity progresses through several rounds, comparing different pairs of items, until all items are compared. At the end, the student with the most correct predictions receives recognition for their understanding of weight and the use of scales.
Name of Activity/Game: Miniature Garden Planting
Objective :M.3.3.2.2. Measures the perimeter of shapes using nonstandard and standard units.
The teacher tells the students that they will do a group activity. The teacher divided the students into four groups and each group was given a different paper shape (square, pentagon, triangle, and rectangle) to represent their garden. The teacher began by reminding students about the environment, both non-standard (using string) and standard (using ruler) measuring instruments. The groups measured the perimeter of the garden shapes first with strings and then with a ruler and discussed possible measurement errors. Then, the students measured and recorded the side lengths of the garden shapes, calculated the perimeter, and shared their findings with their classmates. Finally, students creatively decorated their gardens with trees and other elements and displayed them on the board for everyone to see.
Online Activity Idea : With this game, students can improve their skills in measuring the weight of two or more objects. There are many useful activities on this website.

This event; It is an activity that the teacher can do with the students in nature. The tool is made from corrugated cardboard cut into a 45-45-90 triangle shape. Students measure their distance from the tree using this triangle, and this distance is equal to the height of the tree. Students look at the top of the tree and check that the base is parallel to the ground. Adding the measured distance and eye level height gives the height of the tree. This method provides a low-cost and highly accurate measurement.
Name of Activity/Game: Area Conservation Pentominoes Activity
This activity is a study that aims to improve students' geometric shape skills and find answers to certain questions. Pentomino activities provide students with the ability to recognize various shapes, rotate, reflect and create different structures using them. In this process, students develop both their geometric thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.
Being able to implement the activity online provides great convenience in terms of providing materials and resources. Students can interact with pentomino shapes through digital platforms, rotate and reflect the shapes and try different combinations.
Name of Activity/Game: Bubble Bath Game
This activity can be used to improve students' estimating ability.
Students can observe different containers.
The boxes in the game content can guide students in their predictions.
