1. Editing is really important.
Don’t think you have to make record and get it all perfect in one take.
You’re going to mess up. You’re going to have to re-say lots of things. That’s the power of editing!
Record all of it, let it run, even through all of your mistakes, and then go back and edit those mistakes, long pauses, and awkward moments out after.

Don’t go into your recording software without a plan for the talking points of the podcast you’re creating.
Start with the end in mind. What’s the purpose of it? What’s the takeaway I want people to have?
What stories, points, case studies, or bodies of work do I need to reference in order to support #1?
What order should all of #2 be in?
3. Think of your listeners while you talk
When you imagine yourself speaking to your podcast listener, that one person who absolutely loves everything you create, you’ll help yourself stay connected to the why behind the podcast you’re making.
