The task in this assignment is to publish similar pics to the examples and comment on them:
Exercise: Known concepts, phone adjustments.
Exercise Shutter speed, aperture, ISO.
Exercise: Rule of thirds.
Exercise: -Light -Depth -Shape -Form - Colour - Lines -Size -Texture
Exercise: Let's think about some of the concepts we had discussed in the brainstorm about PHOTOGRAPHY:
Camera, Lenses, Exposure, Brilliance, Light and Shadows, Shutter Speed, Sharp and Blurred, Black and White, Colour, Saturation, Warm and Cool, Vignette, Noise...
Choose one pic, and play with the editing adjust buttons (ajustar) and choose one of them. Explain what do you like about the effect: exposure, brilliance, temperature, vignette...
This is the original of a centered horse in a wood background.
Applying a B&W filter.
It does not gain intensity, the background is too confusing.
2. Exercise: Watch next videos on basic photography.
Here are some basic concepts: Shutter Speed, Aperture, & ISO.
Each one will be accompanied by some pictures to illustrate the subject:
- One with a slow shutter, in poor lighting conditions, shooting something in motion .
- One with a small depth of field , shooting something very close .
- One with noise in it, shooting a dark picture without daylight .
Slow Shutter Speed:
With this speed, the runners appear blurry and it gives the impression of movement.
Depth of Field
Small Depth of Field:
We can see focused blackberries in the foreground and blurred ones in the background. It concentrates our attention on them, giving an impression of proximity. It is a mater of APERTURE.
ISO
High ISO:
A photo taken at too high of an ISO will show a lot of grain, also known as noise, and might not be usable.
Dark Pics.
3. Exercise: Rule of Thirds
It is a basic concept in photography.
Rule of thirds is a rule of thumb about composition, dividing the photo intoIt is a basic concept in photography. The rule of thirds is a rule of thumb about composition, dividing the photo into three horizontal and vertical sections ; the crossing points are ideal for the main points of interest. three horizontal and vertical sections, the crossing points are ideal for the main points of interest.
The main subject is in the center of the photograph . If we want to concentrate on this character's movement, we can apply the rule of thirds.
If we crop the picture and we relocate the guy at an intersection, the subject has more space to move in his walking direction.
4. Exercise
Lets practice with basic concepts in photography like:
-Light -Depth -Shape -Form - Colour - Lines -Size -Texture
Go to a street corner, pick a location, and take shots of the aforementioned elements.
Take photographs on the spot: Publish at least 6 of the concept photographs .
Light shapes the mood, tone, and appearance of the photograph.
Depth refers to the illusion of three-dimensional space within a two-dimensional image.
Shape refers to the two-dimensional outline of a subject within the frame.
Form means representing three-dimensional objects in a two-dimensional space.
Colour evokes emotions, influences perception, and creates artistic expression.
Lines refers to the use of lines to create visual interest and convey a message in an image
Size refers to the size of a photo's aspect ratio and the physical print size
Texture refers to the surface quality of an object, conveying a sense of how something feels when touched.
