KNOW WHAT A SCRIPT IS
An script is an original story, straight from your brain Or it can be based on a true story, or something like a novel, theatre play, news article...
A film script details all the parts – audio, visual, behaviour, dialogue – that you need to tell a visual story. It’s usually a team effort, going through revisions and rewrites. Because short films are audiovisual mediums, that need to include all the audio (heard) and visual (seen) parts of a story. Your job is to translate pictures and sounds into words. Importantly, you need to show the audience what’s happening, not tell them.
