Result : Film Review Competition 2021
This Corona Pandemic is spreading like wildfire. It's been more than three months the first case reported, affecting billions of people in almost every part of the world.
When it struck in India we followed unprecedented 1 month national lockdown to effort at stopping the spread.
This time of crisis generating mental stress, depression, anxiety and fear of economic disaster throughout the population. As government doing effort to stop the outbreak, we Eklavya family also came up with the idea of Eklavya Book Club, especially for the youth who's routine in social media.
We started Book Club in the last week of March for those who are interested in reading books. We provide the soft copies of novels, poems, short stories, autobiographies and biographies(Source: Government Websites) and also suggests the books.
After reading the book, we take reviews from readers, discuss on the book, discuss various social, educational issues and also think critically on the book. Many books open the unknown issues and facts, develops comprehension and communications skills.
We overwhelmed with a sense of satisfaction as we reached about 2000 through this online book club in just three weeks of lockdown. We are also conducting essay competition on the very beautiful occasion of birth anniversaries of Mahatma Phule and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar with a terrific response from all over Maharashtra. So far about 400 people register online in this competition and we already received about 300 essays.
Our objectives behind this book club is being empathetic in this hard time, spread awareness and make discussions. Our target is to reach villages with this online book club.
Our vision is to create teams in districts of Maharashtra to engage in reading books and discussions even after the pandemic ends.
