Result : Film Review Competition 2021
Films tend to change the perception of the society. In most of the Indian language films are just means of entertainment and nothing beyond. The movements and radical changes delivered through films across the world are simply not admired and acknowledge by the filmmakers and audience too. People have fought against Fascism, popular culture, dictatorship, oppression, tyranny and subjugation using their films. The films that attempt to do so remain unnoticed in in Indian context, as we lack the perspective of appreciating such films and derive the the correct conclusions from the same. The habit of reading such films just as books has to be inculcated by means of engaging through a critical activity. Instead the pop-culture films tend to occupy the social attention and art remains for art sake without any stand on social issues.
