Home and School Communication
The school makes every effort to communicate with parents about students' progress and keep them informed and updated about the upcoming events. Common communication channels are such as School Calendar, School Publications, Report Card, emails, etc. (Students’ Handbooks pg. 58)
Line is not considered a formal way to communicate so teachers do not form any line groups for their particular levels. Email will be a formal communication tool for parents to communicate with teachers.
Line can be used if teachers agree to be communicated through line. Phone calls may also be another way to communicate upon agreement with the teachers involved.
Procedures/Protocols Regarding Communication
Steps:
Communicate with the homeroom teachers via email of your child first regarding any issues and try to best resolve it with the homeroom teacher.
Academic
Behavior
Student related issues
Communicate to the Grade Level Leaders via email. The Grade Level Leaders will only get involved if issues are not being addressed by the teachers or parents/teachers cannot come up with a clear solution to the issue. Any issues in the levels should be resolved by the level involved.
PCEIS representatives may represent parents if it involves the whole Grade Level. The representative may contact the Grade Level Leader for discussion.
The Student Administration Coordinator and Guidance Counselor may get involved to resolve the issue if it is a discipline related issue.
Disciplinary related issues are under the Student Administration Coordinator. As much as possible, use the communication procedures above first before placing any referrals regarding discipline to the Student Administration Coordinator. Any disciplinary issues that cannot be resolved beyond classrooms/levels, Parents may contact the Student Administration Coordinator:
Email: angiec@eis.ac.th
Parents should contact the Principal only if solutions are not being resolved after going through the first 2 steps above. However, if there are concerns that directly affect the whole Elementary Section, parents may contact the Principal:
Emails: esprincipal@eis.ac.th, reynoldg@eis.ac.th
Decisions regarding consequences to serious violations will be brought to the Elementary Campus Life and Development Committee.
Members of the committee:
Elementary School Principal
Student Administration Coordinator
Grade Level Leaders
Guidance Counselors
Supervisors
