Outreach within EIG has two functions:
Encourage member involvement
Organize discussions and events in which EIG members are invited to participate.
Engage with the public and other similar organizations
Organize and give presentations to groups with a focus related to or compatible with that of EIG, such as community organizations, other investment clubs, business schools.
Respond to requests for information and reach out to potentially interested parties.
Public call for coherent financial sanctions on arms manufacturing 1 May, 2024
After inconclusive engagement with Scotiabank, relating to its connection with Elbit Systems, an Israeli arms manufacturer, EIG pursued another avenue to have influence on the issue. EIG drafted an open letter asking the Canadian government to impose sanctions that would protect investors from investing in arms manufacturing when there is a serious risk of human rights violations, as in the case of the current conflict.

United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) 13 septembre 2022
EIG signs on to an open letter, Towards an economic development that is respectful of Indigenous Peoples, in which the three principal co-signatories (Élisabeth Patterson, avocate, Dionne Schulze [and member of EIG], Michel Letellier, président et chef de la direction, Innergex énergie renouvelable, and Justin Roy, Economic development officer, Kebaowek First Nation) exhort the Government of Quebec to implement the Declaration.
