$10. All I'm asking from you is $10
In our culture, on Eid, family members and friends give small tokens of money to children which is known as eidi. While eidi is generally a small amount of money, if each aunty, uncle or cousin donated a child’s eidi under their name for a good cause, think about how much money could be raised?
Approximately 400 million fortunate Muslim children will celebrate Eid with their families. Even if, on average, they receive half a dollar as eidi this Ramadan, that’s 200 million dollars these children will spend on candy, toys, and clothes.
What if those 200 million dollars went to children in need so that they could buy their next meal?
Two years ago, my sister and I started this campaign to donate the money we receive as eidi from family and friends, to help feed hungry children in Yemen. Our Launch Good campaign raised over $18,000 in donations with an average donation of between $50-$100 per person, all thanks to you.
Now, with Eid Al-Adha upon us, we are re-opening EidAid, to continue to make a difference. We are asking for your support in making this campaign a success.
