Below we have included frequently asked questions about Ramadan, for those who want to learn more, as well as the campaign itself! If you have more questions feel free to contact us. Our information can be found on the Contact page.
Muslims around the world celebrate Ramadan to mark that Allah (God) gave the first chapters of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad. During this month, Muslims fast and pray to ultimately get closer to God. For the duration of the month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset without a morsel of food or a drop of water. The month of Ramadan ends with a day of celebration called Eid al-Fitr.
Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection and self-improvement. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and there are many physical and spiritual reasons that we fast.
Eidi or eidiyah is a gift given to young children by family and friends to celebrate the celebration at the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr.
You can either donate by going to LauchGood and finding the EidAid campaign or by pressing the button at the bottom of the page.
If you know or are a youth who would be interested in being EidAid ambassadors and working alongside us on this project, please reach out! We are looking to train the ambassadors in how to run campaigns and raise funds, so we can all work together for a better future. Contact us at eidaidcampaign@gmail.com
