Arduino category - Arduinos are microcontroller computers with inputs and outputs. The Arduinos can only run a single program at a time. A basic example is to write a program that when a light sensor connected to an input detects it is dark, the program will turn on an LED connected to an output.

Lilypad - Lilypads are Arduinos designed to be sewn into fabrics.
Hummingbird - Arduino modified for a better beginner experience
Bare Conductive Touch Board - Arduino based with touch sensitive inputs
Credit card sized computers with inputs and outputs. These computers have operating systems and can have many different programs. A few examples are; an office suite similar to Microsoft Office, web browsers, and programming languages. They also have some of the same input and output capabilities as the Arduino.
