Class of 2023

Calling All Juniors!

Let's make this year count! The rank and GPA you have at the end of this school year is what colleges are going to be looking at when you apply. Set yourself up strong and do some exploration of colleges or careers you hope to have when you graduate. You will also be taking the SAT and ACT in the Spring, so make sure you study for that.

College/ Career Exploration:

  • College Greenlight has tons of info on different colleges and scholarships

  • BigFuture allows you to search for schools that meet your needs (e.g. class size, athletics, distance from home, etc.)

Things to Prep for Senior Year

  • Have a solid list of 10 schools you really want to apply to.

  • Take a college tour, or attend a virtual admissions event. The Go Center will be hosting visits by admissions reps throughout the school year. Check out the calendar.

  • Create and ApplyTX account. This is where you will be able to apply to most schools in Texas with ease.

  • College applications open July 1 the summer before your Senior Year. Try to get an early start.
