Clays, Sands and Gravels Recovered During Lithological Sampling.
Since January 2023, I have held the role as Geologist at Todd Groundwater by supporting the full lifecycle of groundwater and water well development projects, from site investigation through to construction oversight and long-term resource management. My role combines field-based site work with analytical and reporting responsibilities to ensure groundwater resources are understood, protected, and sustainably managed.
A key part of my work involves groundwater management under SGMA frameworks, including contributing to basin-scale hydrogeologic interpretation, supporting groundwater sustainability planning, and helping translate subsurface conditions into practical water management strategies. I routinely prepare technical reports and contribute to regulatory documentation that informs regional groundwater decision-making.
I also work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders, including engineers, consultants, and board members, presenting hydrogeological findings and supporting informed decision-making around groundwater budgets, recharge, and extraction balance. This includes evaluating aquifer behaviour, reviewing subsurface geological conditions, and ensuring that groundwater use aligns with long-term sustainability targets.
Overall, my work focuses on integrating geological understanding with practical water resource management, ensuring that subsurface systems are appropriately characterised and effectively managed at both site and basin scale.
