Non-Intrusive Magnetometer Data Highlighting Magnetic Dipoles, or potential buried hazards.
Non-Intrusive Magnetometer Data Highlighting Magnetic Dipoles, or potential buried hazards.
I held the role of Geophysicist at 1st Line Defence (October 2019 - May 2021), based in Hoddesdon, UK, and was responsible for the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of 1D and 2D magnetometry data to identify potential subsurface hazards. I used specialist software including Magneto, Forester, and QGIS to process complex geophysical datasets and produce interpreted outputs for UXO risk assessment.
Alongside data processing, I acted as a geotechnical advisor when required, applying an understanding of soil properties and near-surface conditions to support interpretation and survey planning. I also contributed to project management activities, including scoping and pricing works, reviewing legacy and historical data, and coordinating project deliverables from initial planning through to final reporting.
A key part of my role was producing detailed technical reports that summarised findings and provided clear, structured outputs for clients and stakeholders.
