Helping adolescent development can start at a young age. Proper prenatal care and having access to the right tools during early childhood can have a positive effect on children's social/emotional development during adolescence.
Prenatal Development: Genes play an important role in social/emotional development (Palmer, 2019).
Early Childhood Development: During early childhood development, parents and educators need to support friendship and relationship building so that later in life children know how to develop healthy relationships (Palmer, 2019).
