Assignment Instructions:

Sign up for a free account of LUMIO Smart Learning Suite. (https://suite.smarttech.com/login​) (NOTE: you will not be able to create a Smart Learning Suite account with your Coastal email address). ​Use this link for tutorials on Lumio. 

Create an interactive lesson using Lumio. The lesson topic should be on the subject material you want to teach in your future classroom. E.g., Civil War, DNA, algebra, rhyming words, how to add and subtract, WWII facts and timeline, steps of the scientific method, etc. 

Criteria: 

• Minimum 15 slides

• Title slide (one slide)

  • Name of the lesson, grade level

• Standards and Objectives slide (one slide)

  • Minimum of one state standard

  • Minimum of two objectives

• Instructional Slides (minimum five slides, can be scattered throughout)

  • This would be teacher-led instruction/information about your topic

• Interactive Slides (minimum five slides)

  • At least one YouTube video slide

  • At least one Game Based Activity slide (minimum six questions)

  • At least one Activating Prior Knowledge OR Questioning and Reflection slide

  • At least one Manipulatives OR Graphic Organizer slide
