The coordinator of the Educational Technology program at a university contacted us. He needs our team to design an instructional multimedia solution to help educate prospective students and employers. This solution will help solve a challenge he and his program have been increasingly facing.
Every day, the Coordinator receives numerous inquiries about their fully online Educational Technology programs. He says that the first thing that prospective students ask is: What does an Educational Technologist do? Quickly followed by: What can I do with the degree? and How much will I earn?
In addition, his challenge is compounded by the fact that many of the potential employers of the program’s graduates do not know what Educational Technologists do and what skills they can contribute to their organization.
The Coordinator adds, that the programs’ stakeholders (prospective students and employers) need to know that Educational Technology is a field backed by rigorous standards with a very long history, rooted not only in technological and historical developments, but also in learning theory and psychology.
We assured him that we have the instructional solution to effectively address his needs and that we are enthusiastic about participating in such an exciting and important project.
