TRAINING EXCLUSIVITY
Getting approved for Pointe at Elevation Dance Studio means you agree to the EDS Pointe Program Exclusivity Policy. This exclusivity means that dancers approved for pointe must train exclusively within Elevation's program or within a pre-approved training program to ensure the highest standards of safety, alignment with our curriculum, and consistent progress.
Pointe Program members are allowed to take in-person or virtual classes from other instructors, studios, schools, programs, or conventions that are pre-approved. EDS Pointe members seeking a private instructor, class, studio, school, program, and/or convention outside of the pre-approved list will need to submit approval requests to the ballet master in writing in advance of the program. Any hours or classes taken outside of Elevation will not count towards Company specific required classes as listed in your Required Classes portion of this agreement. Classes outside Elevation classes also do not count towards make-up classes for excused absences. Additionally, any outside classes may not conflict with your Elevation schedule.
This policy will apply to:
All dancers currently approved for pointe at Elevation
All dancers who are seeking pointe approval
All Company members enrolled in our ballet program
All Competition team dancers
If a dancer receives pointe instruction elsewhere while approved and active in Elevation’s program:
Their pointe privileges will be suspended immediately.
They will be removed from pointe-based choreography (solos, group work, Nutcracker, etc.).
Re-entry to the program will require a full faculty reassessment.
