Overview of the Project

For my EDS 199 Special Project, I collaborated with Barangay Sapangbato's Sangguniang Kabataan Council in Angeles City to design and develop an instructional design project. Our pre-assessments revealed weak project management skills, specifically in the areas of task division and time management, as their council's most pressing issue. The learners' backgrounds, learning styles, and prior knowledge of the subject area were analyzed to produce an instructional design that is tailored to their needs and relevant to their identities and roles as Sangguniang Kabataan council members.


This led to the development of three (3) Self-Learning Modules on project management which were designed using the learnings I acquired from multiple Bachelor of Education Studies courses I have undertaken in the past. This includes instructional and multimedia design principles, theories of learning, development of learning objectives, assessment methods, Open Education concepts, and models of Online Learning. These SLMs are further discussed in their designated pages (see Module 1, Module 2, and Module 3).
