Characterising a galaxy’s light pixel by pixel

In this thesis, a pixel-by-pixel SED-fitting analysis of the galaxy NGC0925 was conducted using multi-wavelength data from the DustPedia sample. Utilising CIGALE, the SEDs of each pixel of the galaxy were calculated and their physical properties were derived. Key scaling relations, including the resolved star-formation main-sequence and the Kennicutt-Schmidt star formation law, were investigated at sub-galactic scales (~1kpc).
