Master Thesis

Mid-IR spectroscopy of star-forming galaxies across cosmic time

In anticipation of JWST data, for my MSc thesis I investigated the potential of using the 3.3μm PAH feature as a proxy of the star-formation rate of high-z galaxies. To do so I used all the available (324) Spitzer IRS spectra that the 3.3 μm PAH feature could be found within the spectral range covered.

This thesis has been done under the supervision of Prof. Georgios Magdis (DAWN) and Prof. Vassilis Charmandaris (IA), at the National Observatory of Athens. I defended my thesis at the Cosmic DAWN Center in Copenhagen.
