The work "MATRIA" is an action aimed at raising public awareness towards a collective dimension of doing to bring new shared and more inclusive values ​​into play in order to focus attention on the relationship between the social context and the female contribution.

The word “MATRIA” is made up of blankets brought by the participants in the performance and built directly by them (following drawn guidelines) on the square in front of Palazzo Terragni. Over the course of the day the word sees a continuous cycle of construction-change-destruction, due to the addition, removal and replacement of the blankets of the participants who arrive and leave.

The “Matria” performance was held in Como in Piazza del Popolo, in the space in front of the Casa del Fascio in Terragni on 20 March 2022 from 10:00 to 17:00, in collaboration with the association “Made in MAARC” and with the patronage of the Municipality of Como.
