Edoardo Bonacina (b. 2001) is an artist based between Como and Milan, Italy. After completing an M.A. in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti), Milan, where he previously earned a B.A. in Painting and Visual Arts, he works as a freelance photographer specialising in the documentation of contemporary art. His artistic practice focuses on large-format photography and participatory image-making, exploring the ambiguity of mechanical images and their potential for détournement. Through perceptual defamiliarization and interdisciplinary collaboration, often in dialogue with industry, his work seeks to subvert established interpretive codes and rethink our relationship with everyday objects and metropolitan spaces, suggesting new possibilities for more sustainable forms of use.
