My name is Susan Ferris Rights and I love teaching kids and teachers all about using Technology. I went to a Earlham, a Quaker college, to become a teacher. I teach TEACHERS how to use Technology in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
It is an amazing school district that employs dedicated and hard-working professionals. But best of all, the Tech Team is brilliant and can maintain a sharp witted sense of humor through the many perils of technological changes and challenges.
My interest in doing graphic arts inspired me to learn to silk-screen my designs onto notecards and then to other useful items like aprons and framed prints.
Originally I bought my first computer, a Macintosh, so I could learn to make graphic designs electronically as I like to draw and design pixel by pixel. I have been in many juried Arts & Crafts shows and my work has been sold at the American Folk Art Museum in New York City.
I also enjoy learning about Robotics and programming for kids.
My daughter, Amy, went to The Pingry School where I taught for many years. In 2005 she graduated from Loyola College and now works in New York City.
My husband, Bruce, works at Rutgers and he teaches too. He is a real astronomy fan and follows the stars.
