We were inspired by this Ted talk given by James Ehrlich the founder of ReGen villages. Here is the link to the main ReGen Village website. A group of us have decided that we want to create a community here in Bristol. We are keeping track of some of the significant things that we do in order to keep the community members informed and to inspire and help others who want to do similar.
More detail on ReGen's plan can be found of Effekt Architects site.

4 February 2018 - Shift Bristol visit to Bioaqua
Our eco-village will have an aquaponics system for growing food and farming fish to eat. As part of the Shift Permaculture course that I am on, we visited Bioaqua and were given a tour and explanation of how the system works. It was fascinating yet so simple and seems to me a much easier way to farm than traditional methods. It definitely is the future of food production.
