A selection of concepts that are easy to understand by watching these videos
Economist Kate Raworth on Donut Economics. Lots of interesting videos to watch on the subject if you search on You Tube.
We are heading towards the 6th mass extinction of life on this planet. What are the solutions to not just avoid that but to create a way of living that is supportinve for all life on earth?
In building our villages it makes sense to create structures that are 'at one' with nature. Biomimicary explains why and how to do that. Again search You Tube for lots of interesting videos about it. Or see https://biomimicry.org/
This concept is already in use with many things. If you have a car on a contract plan then this applies to you. Lots of interesting developments happening in this area and soemthing that will definately be considered in the village development.
A couple of examples of it in action:
We want to have clean clothes, so we need to use a washing machine, but do we need to own one? https://www.circuit.co.uk/
We want to travel so we need access to transport. https://www.zipcar.co.uk/
Inpiring video from Bea Johnson who started the movement. This could be your home in the Eco-village. We will have a zero waste store on site which will make it easier and we will growing a lot of our own food it will be packaging free.
A great intro to the subject. Our village will have a library of things/virtual library so people can have access to something they need when they need it but don't have to own it.
