Observing my surroundings, I study the exchange between the animal, the landscape. My engagement with the moment shared with a viewer captures my intent. Making creatures real within their environments is my goal. The Seal Gulls, Deer, and Egrets depicted seen here paused to watch me in silent agreement for the length of the shoot to briefly occupy the same environment or space. While cohabitating participating in our exchange together, I capture, portraits, of creatures as they watch me watching them. Occasionally they observe. A bond is formed for a brief second as we share the moment. A timeless quality of interconnectedness as the subterranean conversation tells a story of the environment and the complicated exchange between the natural world and our imposed cultivated human limits. The mages represent my story of the encounters that states the narrative understanding between the subject and photographer. I observe "them" in backyards, coastal areas, and parking lots as animals inhabit worlds seen via my lens. Within the captured moment, our synergistic exchange transpires to transcend boundaries or understanding. The conversation I hope to relate or initiate " we live with others" within the environment and share my environmental concerns as public awareness in Eco-art photographs. Jamie Forbes
My narrative in photography records everyday movement. At times subtle or not s subtle changes to the landscapes within my local environment reveals the state or condition of "things". Some improvements like seeing the repopulation of the Great Blue & White Egrets increase thrills, my soul. The visible decline of the pollinators the Monarch butterfly, bumblebees, and honey bees became apparent after 2011, saddened the heart. The butterflies again on the rise, promise the possibility of sustainability. Traveling with my camera in the back of my car daily I stop to record the occurrence of the moment to tell the narrative of the landscape in support of the eco-environment. Seeing is believing!
