The 2016 dedication of the Carrie R. Morris Memorial Library initiated a book collection drive to fill a shipping container with donations of books and school materials for the 2018 trip. In addition to books, a 20-station Mac Lab was donated and installed at the library in 2018. That lab featured a World Possible RACHEL server that brought Internet learning resources to the rural school in 2018. In 2021 plans were developed to move the lab from the library to the Junior High block of the Kpando School, and restructure the library as a learning library. Discussions began to rebuild the original school building dating from the 1800s into a 2-story primary block and STEM learning center. Those plans are ongoing.
Mill Creek Church of the Brethren deepened their relationship with Kpando EP Primary School with a commitment to update their original building. At nearly 20 years old, the building is in need of modernization to support the growing school and community.
Updates include increasing airflow and circulation, addressing water flow issues with the old cistern, and updating classroom spaces.
