Donkorkrom School

Osofo Ed Rawls, Pastor of First Congregational Church, Connecticut, adopted the EP Church School at Donkorkrom on behalf of his congregation. In 2021 Pastor Ed was moved by the determination and fortitude of the students who moved from their comfortable school block to continue studying in the old pavilion classrooms after their school block building was struck by lightning and destroyed in a fire. In 2022 First Congregational Church has secured funding and is able to support construction to rebuild the school pictured in the background of the student presentation above. In 2021, 18,000 cedis was approximately $3,000 and provided funding to improve the current classrooms while plans were developed to rebuild the damaged structure.
