ECE Advisors

Two to six students can form a team with an advisor from ECE, CS, or PEP departments.

Prof. Kruger, dkruger@stevens.edu, has the following four projects:

1. Lightning Vault/CSP: High Performance, Secure Web Protocol

2. Hydra Software: exact area to be determined but probably generation of optimal gcode for FDM and CNC routers

3. Hydra Hardware: building an innovative, parallel 3d printer

4. Roboat: Robot boat. Areas can include pure avionics for navigation to a working robot boat. Note that we have a 3 foot model boat already, and you can have help in constructing the boat itself if you want to build an actual robot and try it out (my preference).

Prof. Chandramouli (http://www.mouli.me), mouli@ieee.org, has two projects requiring strong programming skills:

1. Mobile cloud computing with drones

2. AI-based mental health diagnosis from voice

Prof. Yao, yyao@stevens.edu, has two projects:

1. Software Radio and Cognitive Radio: Signal Detection and Interference Avoidance

In this project, programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and radio modules are used to develop wireless communications systems for military and commercial applications. Data engineering and machine learning techniques will also be used in the project.

2. Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Advanced Wireless Communications

Learn and use machine learning and deep learning tools to analyze wireless communications systems for identification, classification, and performance assessment. There are significant military and commercial applications. Programming skills (e.g., Python, C++) are required.

Prof. Sabau, ssabau@stevens.edu, has a project on autonomous vehicles.

Prof. Iyengar, miyengar@stevens.edu, has projects on the internet and live streaming.

Prof. Guo, yguo1@stevens.edu, has projects on robotics and automation.

Dr. Paul Gargiulo, prgargiulo@gmail.com, has a project to design a system to record health data in a waiting room or at home that will enact real change for how doctors can work with their patients.

Prof. Wade, matthewrwade12@gmail.com, has a project that provides technology-driven context to physical contact among athletes.
