The Early Career Bioethics Network and the South Asia Bioethics Community are collaborating on a conversation series, Knowledge Weavers, featuring scholars in the fields of bioethics and global health ethics. We aim to discuss various aspects of knowledge production within these disciplines.
Graeme Laurie (LLB PhD) is Professorial Fellow in the School of Law, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He held the Chair of Medical Jurisprudence in the University of Edinburgh from 2005-2019. In addition to his role as Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Bioethics Review (2020-present), he is currently co-editor of the Cambridge University Press monograph series on Bioethics & Law (with Professor Richard Ashcroft). Graeme has held various visiting positions in the Centre for Biomedical Ethics at the National University of Singapore, under whose auspices the Asian Bioethics Review is run. Graeme lives and works in Sri Lanka.
