This month, QYU (Youth Unlimited) is embarking on a unique journey, and we would be honored to have your prayerful support. We are officially launching "Walk to Mordor"—a month-long prayer focus and walkathon designed to engage our community, raise awareness for the challenges facing young people today, and petition for their spiritual breakthrough.
Inspired by the journey of perseverance and fellowship, "Walk to Mordor" isn’t just about the physical miles we cover; it’s a symbolic commitment to stand by our youth through their most difficult "terrains." Whether they are navigating mental health struggles, identity questions, or the search for belonging, we believe that no young person should have to walk alone.
Invitation to support with Prayer:
We are not asking for a formal program change, but rather a space in your hearts and prayers. We would love for you to:
· Pray for Breakthrough: Lift up the youth in our city throughout this month. Dedicate one Sunday in April to pray for protection, purpose, and a deep encounter with God’s love.
· Cover the Walkers: Pray for the endurance and safety of those participating in the walkathon.
· Share the Heart: If you feel led, please mention this initiative during your services or share the attached image in your weekly bulletins to help us cover our youth in a "canopy of prayer."
The journey for a teenager today can often feel like an uphill battle against impossible odds. By "walking" alongside them this month, we are reminding them—and ourselves—that we are a community that goes the distance for the next generation.
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." — Psalm 23:4
Thank you for your tireless leadership and for your heart for the young people of this community. We are better together. With gratitude and hope, Rikki-Anne McNaught
