Children's Opportunities at Ebenezer Church
At Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, we believe our youngest members aren't just the "future" of the church—they are a vital part of our church family right now. The faith life and spiritual growth of our children is very important to our church family, and we take great joy in walking alongside them as they discover God’s love. We have several programs that aim to provide opportunities for our kids to become more and more like Jesus, focusing on both education and community.
Growing Together in Worship: We believe that worship is a multi-generational experience. Because of this, our kids spend a portion of the worship service together with the entire church family. We love the energy and perspective they bring to our collective praise. To ensure they feel seen and heard, we incorporate specific elements into our time together:
· Children’s Message: We have a special children's time each week where the kids are invited to engage with the day's lesson in a way that is accessible and fun.
· Inclusive Worship: Beyond just a single segment, we also strive to make our entire morning service engaging for them, using music, storytelling, and visuals that resonate with all ages.
Our Commitment: Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel at home in the house of the Lord. Whether it’s through our mid-week programs or our Sunday morning interactions, everything we do is rooted in the desire to see our children grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God.
Laughter and Love: A Look Inside the Nursery at Ebenezer CRC
For many parents and caregivers, the Sunday morning service is a vital time for spiritual nourishment and community connection. At Ebenezer CRC, we believe that the entire family should feel supported during this time. That is why the Ebenezer Nursery Program is designed to provide a safe, joyful, and welcoming space for our youngest members, allowing adults to engage fully in the sanctuary service.
A Space Built for Little Ones: The Nursery program is specifically tailored for children up to age 3. We understand that for toddlers and infants, the world is a place of discovery. Our nursery is a dedicated child-friendly environment equipped with age-appropriate toys and soft play areas designed to keep little hands busy and curious minds engaged.
Love, Laughter, and Peace of Mind: Our program is anchored by a team of dedicated volunteers who are committed to more than just supervision. They strive to create an atmosphere of love and laughter, ensuring that every child feels secure and valued from the moment they are dropped off.
By providing a high standard of care, the Nursery program offers parents and caregivers the "peace of mind" needed to join together in worship, knowing their little ones are playing, learning, and being cared for in a nurturing setting nearby.
Join Our Community: Whether you are a long-time member of the congregation or visiting us for the first time, your family is welcome here. We invite you to experience the warmth of our community and the dedicated care of our nursery team.
If you have questions regarding our nursery policies, volunteer screenings, or specific needs for your child, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the church office for more information about the Nursery program at 613-394-5046 or contact the church office for more information.
The Sunday School program at Ebenezer CRC is a foundational ministry designed to nurture the spiritual growth of our youngest members. By focusing on biblical literacy and community building, we aim to provide a joyful and supportive environment where children can begin their lifelong journey with Jesus Christ.
Our program is built on three primary pillars:
Biblical Teaching: We utilize a dedicated curriculum that brings the Bible to life. Through engaging stories and creative crafts, children learn essential biblical truths in a way that is age-appropriate and memorable.
Family Partnership: We believe that spiritual formation happens best when the church and home work together. Sunday School serves as a partner to parents and families, helping to shape and reinforce Christian values in the hearts of our children.
Lasting Relationships: Beyond lessons, this program is about belonging. We help children foster meaningful connections with their peers and the wider church body, anchoring them in a community that will support them throughout their lives.

Ebenezer Prayer Group
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Colossians 4:2
The Ebenezer Prayer Group is a dedicated community of believers committed to interceding for our congregation, our neighbors, and the world. We believe in the power of collective prayer to bring healing, guidance, and peace into the lives of those around us.
Our primary mission is to ensure that no one walks through their trials alone. To maintain a constant and responsive prayer chain, we utilize a digital prayer distribution system:
Email-Based Requests: All prayer needs, praises, and urgent petitions are compiled and distributed directly to our members via email.
Real-Time Intercession: By using email, we ensure that our prayer warriors can receive updates and begin praying for your needs the moment they arise, regardless of where they are.
Privacy & Respect: We handle every request with the utmost spiritual care. You can choose to share your full story or submit a "spoken" or "unspoken" request.
Whether you are looking for a community to support you in prayer or you feel called to pray for others, there is a place for you here.
To Submit a Request: Simply send or contact the Pastor with your prayer needs. Your request will then be formatted and sent out to the entire prayer group.
To Join the Prayer Chain: If you would like to receive these emails and commit to praying for the needs of our church family, please provide your email address to the church office at ecrctrenton@gmail.com
Note: By joining the email list, you are stepping into a sacred trust to keep the shared requests confidential and to lift them up faithfully before the Lord.
Join us as we stand in the gap for one another, one email and one prayer at a time.
At Ebenezer, the Music Ministry is dedicated to fostering excellence in our expressions of worship. We believe that music is more than just a performance; it is a bridge that connects our hearts to God and prepares us to serve our community.

The Connections Committee at Ebenezer CRC is dedicated to the heartbeat of our church: relationship. Our mission is twofold—to weave a tighter fabric of community within our own pews and to extend a warm, authentic hand to the world outside our doors. Inspired by the call to "love our neighbor as ourselves," this program focuses on turning faith into action through two primary pillars:
Internal Strengthening: We believe a healthy church starts with deep roots. We create opportunities for congregants to move beyond a Sunday morning "hello" and into genuine friendship and mutual support.
External Engagement: We look past our walls to see the needs of our surrounding neighborhoods and the city at large. Our goal is to ensure Ebenezer is a known and trusted presence in the community.
Tangible Action: We don't just talk about community; we build it. The committee identifies practical, hands-on ways for you to serve our local community, whether through local outreach events, neighborhood service projects, or hospitality initiatives.
Why Get Involved?
Whether you are a "people person" or someone who prefers to serve behind the scenes, there is a place for you. Joining the Connections Committee is a way to:
Foster a Sense of Belonging for newcomers and long-time members alike.
Live out the Gospel through practical acts of kindness.
Help Shape how our church impacts the city.
