We pray for those who deal with illness and for those who continue to grieve the loss of loved ones at this time. We give thanks to our God for his hand of comfort and healing.

Attention all saints - and people who really love the smell of brand-new crayons!

The Connections Committee is launching a brand-new mission and it’s a worthy one. Believe it or not, back to school season is sneaking up on us. While local parents are secretly rejoicing, some families at Trent River School (Kindergarten to grade 6) are feeling a major financial pinch trying to get their kids ready. We want to step up and build 25 ultimate school survival kits - specifically, backpacks, lunch pails and fully stocked pencil cases. We need everything from crayons for the tiny humans to coloured pencils for the older kids who have moved on to more sophisticated doodling. Look for the donation bin in the foyer. Let’s bless these kids (and give their parents one less thing to stress about)!

Pregnancy & Family Care of Quinte West: Thank you for your support!

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's Baby Bottle Drive. Through God's faithfulness and your incredible generosity, we raised $39,200 - surpassing our original goal. Thank you for partnering with Pregnancy & Family Care of Quinte West and helping bring hope, support and compassionate care to families in our community.

Food Bank: The Coordinator has let us know there is a need for toothpaste and toothbrushes, non-sugary cereal, peanut-free snacks for kids and peanut butter. Thank you for the continued support of the Food Bank and helping folks facing food insecurity.

Belleville Thrift Store Manager Employment Opportunity: A non-denominational Christian organization operating to generate revenue for the local Quinte Region Christian Schools, while serving people locally with dignity and respect by demonstrating the love of Christ for them. We are looking for a passionate and hands-on store manager to lead our Belleville thrift store operations.  You will be responsible for driving store revenue, training and scheduling volunteers, overseeing the donation processing flow and fostering a positive environment for both volunteers and customers.

Qualifications:

- Experience in retail management: preferably within thrift, consignment or non-profit environment.

- Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead, develop and supervise staff or volunteer teams.

- Skills: strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.  Proficiency of point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

- Sensitivity and discretion in managing volunteer relationships and resolving conflict.

July 26 Offering: The second offering supports Deacons Causes and their benevolence, helping those in need within church family as well as reaching out in love to those in our community where there is great need due to high cost of living and a lack of affordable housing.

August 2 Offering: Our second offering for this day is for Trenton Care and Share Foodbank, whose mission is to serve the people of Quinte West by providing food to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity. This number continues to rise daily as costs continues to stay beyond the reach of those less fortunate. trentonfoodbank.ca
