OUR CHURCH FAMILY PRAYER CORNER
Congratulations to Emmy K (30), Kathy S (30), Adam V (31), Fletcher B (31), Julie R (1), Dianne T (3), Sophie D (4), & Cynthia K (4) celebrating birthdays!
We pray for those who deal with illness, and for those who continue to grieve the loss of loved ones at this time. We give thanks to our God for his hand of comfort and healing.
We also ask you to remember those who cannot attend services and to keep them in prayer: Jo B, Maureen B, Aky D, Charles & Stella D, John D, Riek H, Audrey K, Frances L, Jan M, Thea P, Gerdie P, Louise S, Joanne T, Nell V, & Riet V.
Outdoor Service: Dust off your sunglasses and start practicing your best lawn-chair-unfolding technique, because we are taking this service under the open sky!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 14th. We’re trading the pews for the grass, and you won’t want to miss it.
Here is the game plan for a day of multigenerational fun:
The Main Event will kick things off with our outdoor worship service. (Standard church rules apply, but sunglasses are highly encouraged). The Shenanigans: Immediately following the service, the shenanigans will commence for both the young and the "young at heart". Whether you're tossing beanbags in a corn-hole or cheering from the shade, there’s a spot here for you. Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we will transition into a glorious BBQ lunch.
But, to make this day a success, we need a little help from you
Bring Your Own Lawn Chair because grass is nice, but a folding chair with a cup holder is heavenly. If you are able, please bring a finger-food dessert to share. If it requires a fork, it’s too complicated for the wild outdoors! Think brownies, cookies, or bars. Come for the fellowship, stay for the food, and let’s make some memories across all generations. See you on the lawn on June 14th!
From the Committee of Administration: Please be advised that the projected budget for May 31, 2026, is $205,905.83. Received budget funds to May 29, 2026 are $171,175.80. Please keep this matter in your prayers and donate as you are able.
Sunday School is looking for a grade 1 & 2 teacher. The commitment is one Sunday every four weeks. Consider if God is calling you to this important work of connecting with the younger members of our congregation. Talk to Kurt or Judy.
Are you interested in getting more involved with our mission of reaching up & out? These committees need members: Connections Committee, Prayer Team, Sunday School, Worship Committee. https://www.ebenezercrc.ca/called-to-serve
Small Group Survey: It appears that due to a 'survey glitch' we may have had, some surveys were lost/not submitted. To deepen connection with fellow believers in our Ebenezer Church Family and join a small group, please fill out this online survey SURVEY or talk to an elder and let them know you are interested in being a part of a small group.
PFCQW Baby Bottle Drive -- 21 Days Left to fill a baby bottle with change, cash, or a cheque, and return it by June 21st. pfcqw.ca/donate or e-transfer to director@pfcqw.ca
Bible Study: On behalf of the Connections committee, we thank those who volunteered to provide a brief monthly Bible study to our neighbors at Trent Valley Lodge. This will be a great opportunity for us to reach out to our neighbors wishing to hear more of God's word. Andy V has graciously volunteered to conduct the first Bible study at 10:30 a.m. on Friday June 12th in Trent Valley Lodge's Multipurpose room. We invite all volunteers and anyone else interested in volunteering to attend this Bible study to get an idea of how it works.
Food Bank: The Coordinator has let us know they need crackers, pasta, granola, bars, canned fruit, jam, school snacks, dry soups and noodles (Mr. Noodles/Ramen), and gluten free items. Thank you for the continued support of the Food Bank.
Volunteer List
The Deacons are updating their volunteer list and would like the congregation to review the list in the foyer for the next couple of weeks, to see where you can help your fellow congregants in their time of need. Sign your name and phone # under the heading in which you feel called, and we will arrange to have you put on this list, if and when an occasion of help is needed. This is a great way we can live out our vision statement of 'reaching up and out' with God's love.
Your deacons thank-you!
May 31 Offering: The second collection is for New Life Women’s Home, which provides a residential recovery program where those who have lost hope can experience God’s transforming love, receive freedom from the chains of addiction and life-controlling problems, faith in the true eternal living God and a future for one’s life. newlifecanada.org
June 6 Offering: Our second offering for this day is for Trenton Care and Share Foodbank, whose mission is to serve the people of Quinte West by providing food to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity, and this number continues to rise daily as costs continues to stay beyond the reach of those less fortunate. trentonfoodbank.ca
