Walk over marble floors engraved with 400 knight tombstones telling stories of battles and glory. See chapels for each knight nationality and captured Ottoman battle flags.
Gaze at golden vaulted ceilings where Grand Masters prayed, plus two dramatic paintings by Caravaggio—the fugitive artist who lived here in 1607 and painted "The Beheading of St John" on these very walls!
