WhiteTailed Eagles (7-8)
History:
Story of the World: Ancient History(Volume 1) - This year we're going to learn about the history of people who lived a long time ago, in all different countries around the world. We're going to learn about the stories they told, the battles they fought, and the way they lived - even what they ate and drank, and what they wore. [excerpt: the Story of the World, Vol 1, pg2]
Science:
Mad Scientist - Children will step into the role of “mad scientists” as they explore age‑appropriate topics in chemistry, physics, biology, geology, astronomy, and more. Each week features exciting hands‑on experiments designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students understand how the world around them works.
* (Experiments are different from year to year)
Art: Students will express their creativity and learn new techniques as they complete a variety of art projects and explore mixed media.
Music and Movement: In this afternoon class, students will explore both music and movement through fun, hands‑on activities. During our music time, they’ll play rhythm games, try simple instruments, and listen to different styles of music. During movement time, they’ll stay active with dancing, games, stretching, and playful exercises. Each week builds creativity, coordination, and confidence as students learn through two exciting forms of expression.
