Q.Is there a required minimum of classes I need to register for in order to participate with EAGLES Academy?
A.You are welcome to register for as many or as few classes as you would like. However, the policy for parent participation in teaching or assisting remains the same as if your family were full time enrolled. In addition, to keep the cost of enrollment minimal, tuition fees are the same whether you are enrolled full time, part time, one semester, or both semesters.
Q. Do parents need to stay with their children for EAGLES’ classes?
A. All of our classes require parents to participate on co-op days by teaching or assisting. There are some volunteer opportunities that do not require teaching that are available and will count as volunteer hours and participation; however, those opportunities are few and by invitation only. Parents are always welcome to stay at the building during class times or attend classes with mentor approval. Parents are welcome to drop in to classes at any time. Volunteers are always appreciated and needed. On hours you are not teaching or assisting, you are welcome to leave if you have someone to be responsible for looking out for your children (teenagers are able to be left without parental supervision.
Q. When can I enroll my family?
A. Anytime, if accepted you will receive a welcome email/text/phone call
*If a class is full your student will be put on a waiting list
Q: Are books and materials included in class fees?
A. Books and individual materials are not included in the tuition fees. The tuition fees cover the costs involved in teaching each class. At the beginning of each school year the class mentor will be given an allowance/budget per class to spend how they choose, this ensures that each class has quality material and support to teach without the cost coming from the mentor’s family resources. Curriculum will only be provided by the co-op to the mentor. If a book is required for a class for individual students, then that will need to be supplied by families for their children. Please see course descriptions for more details.
