Social Science:

World History & Geography - Together we will use a variety of learning methods to quickly move through thousands of years of global history, covering an overview of major civilizations, events, and cultural developments. We will study Prehistory & ancient civilization (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, China), Classical Empires (Greece, Rome, Persia, India, China), Middle Ages, Renaissance and Reformation, Industrialization, and Geography.

Science:

Chemistry - This class is designed to help you understand, use, and even enjoy chemistry. You will learn chemistry through a mix of hands‑on activities and games,clear explanations and guided lessons, experiments and lab investigations, and real‑world examples. By the end of the course, you will understand the major concepts of high‑school chemistry, know how to analyze data and explain your results, and see how chemistry connects to everyday life. Learning concepts that will be explored include: matter, atomic structure, the periodic table, bonds & reactions, and stoichiometry. 

Electives (semester classes): Teen student will be able to choose either a creative or practical elective each semester. Only one of each elective type will be offered each semester.

Creative Elective - Each semester-long course will direct students to explore creative skills. This may include studying the work of influential artists from a variety of time periods and styles. Students will create their own artwork using both traditional and experimental methods. Specific details to come.

Practical Skills Elective - Each semester-long course will help students gain practical skills such as business ownership, survival skills, or emotional resilience.  Specific details to come.
