The inspiration for my work is simple ━ writing my thoughts onto the photo makes my work feel livelier. As long as the colors stand out and I have space to draw, everything is okay! I love when people doodle on their work or photos they take, so I wanted to show my thoughts while those photos were taken or at least convey a little story about what was going on. I want to think of myself as imaginative, and I hope my work expresses that. Photos that seem like something from the past make the audience think of something nostalgic in their lives.
nonage – a period of youth.
Our objective for this piece was to learn to get comfortable with the object selection tool. It was simple enough for me to have fun with it.
A liiittle tedious, I'll have to admit but fun nonetheless.

Netflix is always coming up with creative-looking posters and promos for their shows and movies – I wanted to be a little creative too!
The theme was space – y'know planets, galaxies, and spacesuits but I wanted to make it a little goofy, a little fun for myself, so I added my doodles and clouds for some effect. Overall, this was a fun assignment, and I'd definitely do it again. Maybe with Hulu next time?
(p.s; the aliens are nice !!)
I initially had trouble with what to try with layer masking but decided on photos with nature and animals - mostly cows and horses. I had so much fun incorporating the gradient and masks into my project that I made three separate photos! I wanted the viewer to feel a sense of serenity and peace when looking at my edits, so choosing a simple but pleasing to-look-at text, and beautiful wording was fun and brought the piece together.
Since being tasked with a final poster assignment - I had a little trouble figuring out what to edit. I like many things and people I admire, but decided to edit my bias, Hanni from New Jeans! She is one of my inspirations, not only for her beauty but her talent and funny aura. I recently found out she had become Armani's first Korean and K-pop beauty brand ambassador, the well-known Italian luxury brand. As amazing as that is, finding photos from her shoot was a little difficult. I ended up watching the promo ad and took screenshots from Youtube. I then went on Google and took some official photos.
My main inspiration for the layout was a specific piece I found on Pinterest (@hakonpuff), which had made a magazine edit of Hanni, promoting Chanel lipstick. I love magazine layouts and how creative some publications can be, so I used that as my main source of inspiration and went on from there! I wanted the colors to remain neutral and not stray too far with my color swatches, as I only stuck to a few colors. I wanted to also keep the theme classy and innovative with my font choices and placement. I hope I did Hanni and her promotion justice with this edit. I am proud of it and had a little too much fun with it.
-- which one do you like better? p.s. i like the 1st one !!
