EDTC 808 Summer Institute II
Summer 2022 | Dr. Carnahan
This course is the second five-week intensive summer seminar for Year II doctoral cohort candidates. The course focuses on building the skills, knowledge, understanding and commitment necessary to become effective leaders in a variety of organizational settings.
The project is centered on nine job adds, classiffied equally in higher ed, corporate world, and preK to 12. The paper centers on comparing and contrasting these jobs.
The paper describes my professional growth plan and my goal for a certian period of time.
EDTC 805 Cross-Discipline Studies in Technology

The focus of the course is exploration and evaluation of advanced and emergent technologies and the means by which educational and training leaders learn about them and sustain them in a learning environment. This course assists educational and corporate professionals to develop innovative educational and organization practices across disciplines.
This project focused on Adaptive Learning An overview of this technology along with limitations, benefits, and recommendations for application were included.
My technology theme park focused on the impact bias has on instruction. A blog was created that desings five different educational technologies to deliever a lesson.
One of my PGP goals is to submit an artilce to an educational peer-reviewed journal or blog and bring solutions to problems and barrariets preventing schoolwide SEL implementation. Results and takeaways from this SEL strategic plan will be submitted as a proposal after at least one improvement cycle and all school visits have been conducted.
EDTC 807 Implementation and Evaluation of Curriculum

This course will provide candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the landscape of implementation and evaluation of educational technology programs. The philosophies, methods, and processes of curriculum design in educational technology will provide the framework for curricular models; resources for decision-making; and evaluation methods for educational and corporate settings.
This paper describes the curriculum movement during the 19th and 20th century. Insterest groups and researchers advocated for different approaches to curriculum.
This paper compares the conservative and progressive views of E.D. Hirsch and Dewy, respectively.
This paper presents an overview of the informal learning method by using Youtube Videos.

EDTC 814 Advanced Effective Models of E-Learning

This course focuses on concepts and strategies necessary to step into a leadership role in the integration and application of technology and learning. Topics include strategic planning, leadership styles, institutional change process, designing world-class eLearning, and policy issues in educational technology.
The paper describes and analyzes two case studies - application of coloborative learning.
The paper sheds some light on how to desing an online course with minimal expenses.
EDTC 816 Advanced Building On-line Communities
Spring 2023 | Dr. Zieger
The course prepares students for roles as online community researchers, designers, managers, and users. It will introduce important concepts, terms, and theories about online communities. Students will gain a better understanding of how social science research can help design interaction spaces that encourage community building.

Neuromaker is a company that provides real-world examples and experience with project-based learning. They sell hardware, software, and ideas on modifying curriculum with new innovations in the field of STEM
MathProjectsAlgebra is a newly online community consisting of three algebra teachers who are willing to share their projects with each other. Projects are available for any member to use them in the same form or they can modify them in a different version for their needs.
EDTC 817 Advanced Developing and Managing DL Programs
Delivering high-quality distance learning programs requires innovation in program development and delivery. In this course, students will analyze the relevant issues impacting distance education and incorporate an understanding of the historical and current evolution of distance learning into a vision for the future. Students will explore industry best practices in planning, launching, maintaining, and coordinating distance education programs.
Asynchronous Versus Synchronous Learning in Distance Education
Distance learning program during the covid at the urban high school at New Jersey that is analyzed, it needs several updates in order to function effectively in online education.
