EDTC 811: Summer Institute III
This course is the third five-week intensive summer seminar for Year III doctoral cohort candidates. Candidates foster their development as scholars and professionals for service by presenting their original scholarly work to a wider audience and provide a professional portfolio with a growth plan for continued learning and renewal.
EDTC 803 Data Analysis and Report Writing
Summer 2021 | Dr. Amerman
This course will focus on the content and the mechanics of effective data analysis and report writing. Candidates will analyze textual and graphical data from many sources, process data in ways that readers can understand, and generate comprehensive academic and business.
This project focused on integrating technology to enhance the touring experience of the Lincoln Memorial.
This paper is an analysis of common themes resulting from coding qualitative data. Based on the featured company founders in the "How I Work" series, this paper explores how authors work.
This stastical analysis is presented as a memorandum analyzing course evaluation data of an end of semester survey for a university professor.
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide an analysis and visualization of the number of gifted and talented students in public schools in the United States for years 2002, 2006, and 2014.
EDTC 806 Research Methods in Educational Technology Leadership
Spring 2022 | Dr. Carnahan
With the program's emphasis on the scholarship of teaching and innovative learning experiences, this course is an in-depth treatment of the research process and techniques for planning and designing research projects. Emphasis will be placed on the appropriate choice of methodologies for a variety of problem situations.
The purpose of this study is to describe the Effect of the homework in the learning outcomes by using Quantitave Method.
The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study is to describe the focus of mathematics in the STEM.
The purpose of this study is to describe the Effect of the homework in the learning outcomes by using Mixed Method.
EDTC 809 Assessment and Evaluation
Fall 2022 | Dr. Carnahan
An introduction to systematic inquiry using assessment methods to understand, evaluate and solve user and organizational needs. Candidates will integrate their knowledge of research methods with real-world challenges of conducting and analyzing research in educational and corporate settings.
The purpose of the paper is to collect, organize and connect, analyze qualitative data of a fieldwork (Applebee - fast food restaurant) by applying naturalistic and participant observation.
Technology has been integrated in education for a long time and it is integrated to a large extent in all fields of mathematics as well as algebra. The integrated technology in mathematics is a case study. Case studies are a strategy of inquiry in which the researcher explores in depth a program, event, activity, process, or one or more individuals
The purpose of the project is to investigate the interrelation of mathematics within the STEM. This study aims to examine Combining the instructions with and without technology rationally elevates students' learning significantly.
The paper will focus on integrating technology wisely in high school mathematics instructions in the cases when the technology performs instructions fast and it does not have a substitution, and teaching method without technology that supports critical thinking.
EDTC 810 Statistics for Educational Research
Spring 2023 | Dr. Connolly
Candidates will develop competence in applying, synthesizing, and evaluating statistics from sources including dissertation, journals, technical reports, and Web sites. With an emphasis on the scholarship of teaching, candidates will move from basic to context-driven statistics, applying the fundamental concepts and procedures of descriptive and inferential statistics to real-world applications.
The project # 1 contains an analysis method on five academic articles that attracted my attention. I am interested in writing my dissertation on the interrelation of mathematics within STEM; therefore, I selected these articles with the content on mathematics and STEM.
The purpose of the project is identifying the major findings in these articles. There will be a discussion based on their data collection method and analysis techniques (quantitatively using inferential statistics and mixed methods approaches).
There exists a disagreement between researchers of education about whether homework is an effective way in teaching students at high school or not. Nonetheless, I support researchers who are pro - homework, and I believe homework increases learning outcomes significantly.
