Jambudwipa. Aryavarta. Saptasindhu. Hindustan. Bharat. and Finally what we call our beloved country now: INDIA. This is a "gaatha” a great story” where we wholeheartedly celebrate and take immense pride in the magnificence of our heritage, wisdom and identity.
Identity comes from an intricate mosaic of one’s language, heritage, ethnicity, ancestry and experiences.
Aur kya hi zindagi ko anubhav kiya agar aap hamari Kala, Kapra aur karigar kaushal na dekha .
Koi Baat nahi.
Swadesh is here to help you “ Live artfully “as we weave these experiences for you on the screen to enjoy, immerse in and experience.
Swadesh is the current project that I am working on. When we were on the lookout for an icon set we were almost gonna settle with the Jio icon set itself. Because there was too much on our plate. Also, we were often met with questions like, "who is gonna forcus on these icons?"
But Swadesh, being a labour of love stood for all things handcrafted. We told stories about how our products were exclusive, handcrafted and were made with attention to detail. In other words, Bespoke was a huge offering.
Thus, having an icon set that was Desi, minimal and luxe was something we all worked for.
All our icons embody the craftsmanship that we see in the heritage of Indian architecture. The curves, the edges all painstakingly illustrated to give Swadesh icons a character of its own.
Please note: While the concept was mine. the execution was of another colleague's.
We recently had our Beta Launch, where we opened up our Swadesh digital boutique for a select 150 people by whitelisting their numbers.
Goal: We wanted to check the experience of these first time users from signing up to checkout and of course if the curation and collection of products were grabbing eyeballs.
Execution: We ran an email campaign via "Clevertap" and a promotion of some products being 50% off for a limited time of one week.
We followed it up with an abandoned wishlist emailer as a gentle reminder, since products were exclusive and available in limited quantities.
For this Beta Test we had a sale revenue of 1.15 lakhs.
