Selvi's Pets

I have just finished illustrating this beautiful book for the Isha Vidhya kids. The story is about a little girl called Selvi and the pets she has. The story is for very young kids and the focus here was to introduce reading as a habit by telling kids about characters like themselves. The colourful, illustrations , typesetting had me hooked for a couple of months as I tried my best to bring Selvi and her pets to life.

The Banana Tree was a story that got passed on for quite a few number of times before it came to me following the love Selvi's Pets received. This was also a 10 page picture book for the kids at Isha Vidhya . Mostly they are first generation learners and we wanted to brighten up their English lessons with these illustrated books.

The Sun - Moon Secret

Two double-spreads from a shelved project that I was working on. This story was about how two sisters Shurjo and Chandro discover their powers and bring rain to their draught-stricken village. The book has underlying message of how even kids are capable of greatness if they put their minds to it. The book also speaks about the unlocked potential we have but seldom use.

The Jungle Book

I got the chance to design an emailer for kids as my application to one of the world's top ed-tech platform "Byjus"

The emailer brief was to be able to create an interesting pop palette characters of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. Illustrating these characters in a modern way to help a child grow interested in the classics was challenging.

Janaki Ammal

As a project from Adidev publishers, this book is about women scientists who her pioneers in their field. I am currently illustrating for Janaki Ammal, the sugarcane queen and world-renowned botanist.

Mokshaa

Mokshaa is a startup, that wants to engage users by telling them stories about Indian mythology, kings of yesteryears. According to their market research, they will be launching an app with a swipe-up card style transition to tell these stories in an engaging manner. I am helping them by creating the characters and layouts to make these stories larger than life.
