Summer 2015

The Professional Institute for Educators (PIE) at the University of the Arts provides professional development programming that is current, practical, engaging and relevant for all teachers throughout the greater Philadelphia region. We empower educators to continually advance their teaching skills to improve learning for students. Through graduate courses, certificates, and degree programs, PIE develops innovative educational programming focusing on effective best practices for the classroom. Courses can be applied towards a Master’s degree in Educational Program Design and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology, as well as graduate certificates in Literacy, Inclusion, Educational Technology, and the Arts.

Summer @ UES course list

Registration should be available online or by phone beginning the week of June 8th!

(some final changes are being made)

Some courses that were originally listed and now missing may still be available if we have enough student interest. I have sent out a survey to the email list. Please look over the courses/dates and complete the survey if you are interested in any of the courses listed.

There have been many changes to the schedule this year. We are working hard to make sure the Fall course offerings are complete before any information is shared.

The week of July 13th will be our second annual Ed Tech Week. Courses will collaborate throughout the week and we will have a guest speaker, Dave Marra, Apple Senior System Engineer, on Tuesday of the week.
