Information

Conference Participation Criteria:

Must be an active DECA member
Member must have an overall 3.0 grade point average to attend
Member must be currently passing a Marketing Communications or Economics of Business Ownership class
Must attend mandatory competition preparation workshops held by the adviser and the chapter
Teacher may request copy of school record and reserve the right to eliminate their eligibility based on attendance and/or school citizenship

Necessary Categories of Competition

In each competition, each competitor is required to sign up for:

One Cluster Exam (100 Questions)
One Written Project + Presentation on the same topic
1-2 Roleplay(s)

Division One Members

Must be in a CTE (business) class, such as Economics of Business Ownership or Integrated Marketing Communications
Attends multi-day competitions
Attends out of state competitions

Division Two Members

Has not been in or passed a CTE (business) class, such as Economics of Business Ownership or Marketing Communications
Attends single-day competitions
Attends local competitions (minicons)
Is responsible for local marketing, such as creating and hanging up posters
