NOTE:  Training Version Notice - This training reflects an earlier release of the Dual Lens Lightweight Diagnostic. The current diagnostic release is Dual Lens v2.2. The core Dual Lens method and principles taught in this course remain valid. Version 2.2 primarily improves the starting experience, terminology, and progression from an initial Quick Look to a Lightweight Snapshot. An updated version of this training aligned to Dual Lens v2.2 is planned for early 2027.

The Dual Lens Management Diagnostic helps you look at a service from two independent perspectives: whether management is oriented toward the value the service is meant to create, and whether the management system provides sufficient structural control to deliver it reliably.

This public course introduces the Lightweight Diagnostic for orientation, education, and discovery. It is not a maturity assessment, audit, certification, or Full Diagnostic.

How the Course Works

Each module includes a short narrated lesson, workbook activities, and a brief online knowledge check. Your workbook is for your own learning and does not need to be submitted. If you haven't read Before You Improve the Service, it's available in several formats:
