**1. Freedom of Speech, Religion, Press, Assembly, and Petition**
You can say what you think, practice any religion, meet with others, and ask the government to fix problems.
**2. Right to Bear Arms**
People can own weapons to protect themselves.
**3. No Soldiers in Your Home**
The government can’t force you to let soldiers live in your house.
**4. Protection from Unreasonable Searches**
Police need permission or a warrant to search your things.
**5. Rights if You’re Accused of a Crime**
You don’t have to say things that could get you in trouble, and you can’t be punished twice for the same crime.
**6. Right to a Fair Trial**
If you are accused of a crime, you get a fast and fair trial with a lawyer and a jury.
**7. Right to Trial by Jury in Civil Cases**
You can have a jury decide disagreements between people (not just crimes).
**8. No Cruel or Unfair Punishment**
Punishments must be fair and not too harsh.
**9. People Have Other Rights Too**
You have more rights than just the ones listed here.
**10. States’ Rights**
States can make their own laws about things not listed in the Constitution.
